Dynamic Testing: Dynamic testing is a part of validation activity. We do dynamic testing when software code is developed. Dynamic testing performed at the later stage of the development. What does Dynamic testing do ? To Find and fix defects. To execute test cases. It is done during validation time and it is tested executing on computer or mobile. Types of Dynamic Testing: Black box Testing : The method in which internal structure of the product is not known to the tester. Programing knowledge is not required. Input and output are tested and checked against the expected outputs. Testers test the application in black box testing. As an example: “ special offer 70% discount “ a new column for men at macy’s website the tester will test all the functions or options that comes under the “special offer 70% discount” in the test site. The tester does not need to know the code,design,structure or any programming knowledge for the black box testing method. Black box testing are two types: Functional Testing and Non Functional Testing Functional Testing : Functional testing is how software should work. We do functional testing base on the customer requirements. All types of functional testing done by manual testing. Functional testing we check the behavior of application. For an Example: The QA team in Innsire company will write a test case before they execute a new column in Men’s department at Macy’s website as column name “Special offer 70% discount”. In functional testing phase, system is tested by providing the input in test case, verifying the output and comparing the actual results with the expected results. Types of functional testing: Unit testing : Generally Unit is a small piece of code which is testable, Unit Testing is performed at individual unit of software and is performed by developers. Integration Testing: Integration Testing is the testing which is performed after Unit Testing and is performed by combining all the individual units which are testable and is performed either by developers or testers. System Testing: System Testing is a performed to ensure whether the system performs as per the requirements and is generally performed when the complete system is ready, it is performed by testers when the Build or code is released to QA team. Acceptance Testing : Acceptance testing is performed to verify whether the system has met the business requirements and is ready to use or ready for deployment and is generally performed by the end users. Nonfunctional testing : Non functional testing is mainly focus performance of software. We do functional testing based on the customer expectations. All types of non functional testing not done by manual testing. Nonfunctional testing we check the performance of the application. Types of non functional testing: Performance Testing: Performance Testing is performed to check whether the response time of the system is normal as per the requirements under the desired network load. Security Testing : Security testing is performed to verify the robustness of the application, that is to ensure that only the authorizes users/roles are accessing the system. Recovery Testing: Recovery testing is a method to verify on how well a system is able to recover from crashes and hardware failures. Compatibility Testing: Compatibility testing is performed to verify how the system behaves across different environments. White box Testing : The method in which internal structure of the product is known to developer. Programing knowledge is required here. Internal functionality is tested here. Developers test the application in white box testing. Types of White box testing: Control flow testing: This is a testing technique that’s comes under white box testing. It is mostly used for unit testing. Unit testing means small programs or segments of large program. It uses the control structure of a program to develop the test case for the program.

Differences between Waterfall and Agile Model. 1. Customer satisfaction: Waterfall: At waterfall methods we cannot ensure about customer satisfaction, because customer cannot see the products before delivery and product delivery time is too long. Agile: customer satisfaction level is good because they can see the final product before delivery and product delivery time duration just within 3 to 4 weeks. 2. Peoples Interaction: Waterfall: at waterfall methods every department is responsible for their own tasks. Agile: Here customers, developers and testers are constantly interacted with each other every day. Agile method ever one work as a one team and they are interacting face to face. 3. Beneficiary Waterfall: this methods customer are not 100 percent beneficiary, though it is a long time projects customer can not get any idea about final product before delivery. Agile: It is a short project and requirements can be change any times from customers end and Agile methods before the products delivery customer always get a Demo. 4. Workload: Waterfall: This method we will get only one projects so here work pressure less than Agile method. Agile: Here we will get multiple tickets from different projects so work pressure more than waterfall method. 5. Requirements: Waterfall: At waterfall method we will get clear requirements and if we have any question, we are always feel free to ask BA or Developers. Agile: At Agile methods it is really hard to get the requirements and if we have any questions or any confusion, we have to talk face to face by scheduling a meeting. Examples: Waterfall method: At macys website if we want to show a new deal for men department and if we follow the waterfall method to make the software it will be too long to get the satisfactory result from customer end. As an example, for winter season we are offering if someone buy one Cashmere sweater the second will be half price. So for planning as per waterfall method it will take 1.5 months to get the requirements. Then the design development will take 2 months. Then the developer will take 4 months to core it. Then tester will take 2 months to test it . So it is taking al most 10 months to complete the projects and it will not be successful at customer end because winter season will be finished in the mean time. Agile Method: At Agile method we have to complete every cycle /every piece at the same time. After completing every phase we have to give a demo to the customers before delivery the products and if customer has any feedback or any suggestions we have to solve it instant to save the times as usual as money. Here work pressure is too much but customer satisfaction is high priority. That is why customer always get benefit by this Agile method.
