Dynamic testing is a kind of software testing to check the behavior of the code that developer build in a website. For example, www.cookieskids’.com wants to add a new option for customers named “baby registry”. Now after developing the code in the website QA will make sure if the developed criteria is working properly with existing website and for that QA will click the option “baby registry” and it should ask for customers information (such as name, address, email id, phone number, child’s DOB ect.) to register. if it throws an error message then that’s an issue. The purpose of dynamic testing is to ensure that the software works properly without any error and also it checks the performance, usability and compatibility with the website. There are 2 types of dynamic testing · White box testing · Black box testing Black box testing- For the baby registry in cookieskids’.com the tester will test all the function or option that comes under the baby registry in the test site. The tester doesn’t need to know the code/design/structure or any programming knowledge for the black box testing method. Black box testing is also 2 types · Functional testing · Non functional testing Functional testing- The QA team in Innsire company will write a test case before they execute the baby registry testing in the site. In functional testing phase, system is tested by providing the input written in test case, verifying the output and comparing the actual results with the expected results. There are different levels of Functional testing such as · Unit testing – unit testing is a small piece of code which is testable, and this individual unit of software is tests by developers. · Integration testing-this testing is performed after unit testing and performed by combining all the individual unit which are testable and performed by either tester or developer. · System testing-when the developer build or code the system for baby registry and released to QA team then the system testing is performed to make sure it’s working according to the requirements. · Acceptance testing-this testing is performed to verify if the system has all the business requirements and ready to use for the customers and is also tested by the customers. Non functional testing- this testing is focused on non functional objects of the system like performance testing, recovery testing and quality of the system. There are also 4 types of non functional testing such as · Performance testing- this testing is performed to check the response time of the system is by the requirements. Like if a customer clicks on the baby registry it should navigate the customer to put their put information in very short time. · Recovery testing- This testing is a method to verify how the system will be recover if the system crashes. · Security testing-this testing is performed to verify if the authorized users have access to the system and also if the system is secured to make transactions. · Compatibility testing-this testing is performed to check if the website is working in different environment like from mobile, laptop desktop etc.

SCRUM In scrum there are different roles and responsibilities. Scrum master, Product owner, Developer, QA tester and project manager. Everyone has their own different task, duties and responsibilities. They all work as one team. This process is used for large and specific amount of time project. It also works in iterations so any changes can’t be made in the middle of iteration and if any error found while testing it should be fixed right away. KANBAN In Kanban everyone works as a team. Everyone has complete flexibility and individual responsibility in terms of specialization. Their goal is to fix the problem based on the priority, and there is no time limit. Kanban doesn’t work in iteration so if the client wants to make or add any change in the middle of the process it can be made. Any error is found, a new backlog is created for the bug and solve as a new issue. This process is beneficial for the small project. INNSIRE IT COMPANY is working on a project for COOKIES KIDS’ CLOTHING COMPANY to make a baby registry section on their website. This project should be ready within 4 months of time. To create this project INNSIRE IT COMPANY chooses SCRUM process. Business lines took 1 week to create the backlogs and deploy it for Planning. The project manager took 1 week to plan the project task and distribute it. Developer took 2 months to develop the baby registry section on the website and deploy it to the tester. The QA tester took 1 month to test the baby registry and give a demo to the team that everything is working fine. So the next day project is ready for delivery to the client. Now after delivery of the project to client they publish it on their website for customers. After some time one customer complains that she is not able to find her friends account on their website with the information that her friend gave her to shop for the baby. So COOKIES KIDS’ COMPANY take that complain to the production support team. To fix this issue the production support team will use KANBAN process. They create a backlog for the defected item and deploy it to developer to fix it. When developer finishes fixing it he/she deploy it to the tester and tester tests it. After testing successfully again the client publish the solved item for the customers. The INNSIRE IT COMPANY chooses to work on scrum process because they work on large projects and in a specific amount of time. It is beneficial for both the company and the client. The company can finish the project in different iterations. This process is also beneficial for the large project with short period of time and also customer is satisfied by getting their product delivered part by part and can see what they’ve asked for.

Waterfall VS Agile Innsire IT Company is working on a project for Cookies kids’ clothing company to create a BABY REGISTRY section on their online page. This project should be ready by 6 months of time. Let’s find out how this project will work with Waterfall and Agile method. Waterfall:In this method 1.5 month is taken for planning and Requirement analysis. 1 month is taken to design the column. For example, BABY REGISTRY should be at the bottom of the page after the clearance section with black letters. By clicking on it customers will be proceed to the next page to create a registry, find a registry, and manage your account. Upon customers submission it will open another page for further information. 2.5 month is taken to develop the codes and create the BABY REGISTRY section. 2 weeks is taken to test if everything is working on the BABY REGISTRY like; when customers click on the create a registry if its opening a new page to gather customers information, when customers click on manage your account or find an account if its asking for customers information and if all the information is correct if it’s taking to the existing account to manage it. After all the testing is done the product is delivered to Cookies kids’ clothing company and they got to see the product. 2 weeks is taken by the company for Beta Testing. If everything goes well the product is published for customers use, otherwise if there is any error it goes back to the developer to fix the error and after fixing and testing it goes right away to the market for customers use. After getting the product delivery if COOKIES KIDS’ CLOTHING Company wants to change the BABY REGISTRY SECTION in a different place then it’s almost impossible to go back and change it. AGILE: In this method a project is broken up into several ‘iteration’. For example, BABY REGISTRY column will be broken up into 3 releases ‘find a registry’, ‘create a registry’ and ‘manage your account’. In the first iteration, the development team decides to deliver the ‘create a registry’ feature in 2 months. In this 2 months planning and requirements take 1 week, analysis take 1 week, design take 1 week, coding 2 weeks, testing 1 week, beta testing 1 week, and learning 1 week. After everything developed successfully the feature is delivered to the client. Like this ‘find a registry’ and ‘manage your account’ also divided in 2 other iteration and they also delivered in 2 month of period of time, each feature. After getting the 1st delivery if the clients wants to make any change it will be possible in a short period of time. In agile method iteration is tested separately unlike the waterfall method where everything is tested at once.
